Getting there

The Murrah is a short 15 minute drive from Bermagui, a fishing town 379km south of Sydney or 669km from Melbourne. Don’t be alarmed by the distance- this stretch of coastline provides one of the most beautiful roadtrips in all of Australia. Don’t want to drive? There’s plenty of options.

Travel options

Road

From Melbourne: This is an 8 hour drive that takes you through Gippsland, past the Snowy River National Park and as you reach the NSW border you’ll weave through ancient forests and hug the turquoise waters of the South Coast. This drive is a holiday in itself.

From Sydney: This 5 hour drive south of Sydney is equally as spectacular and as you travel through various beach side towns you’ll be stopping for swims, pies and gorging on fresh fruits from honest boxes dotted along the road.

Bus

Premier Motor Service (Tel. 133410) runs services from Sydney and Melbourne that stop in Cobargo (a short drive from the property). This is the longest option of them all.

Flying

From both Melbourne and Sydney there are daily flights that take you to Merimbula or Moruya which is only an hour drive from the property.

From Melbourne to Merimbula: Around $190 one way direct with a travel time of 1h 20m.

From Sydney to Moruya: Around $200 one way direct with a travel time of 1h.
